Kashi, Mathura disputes should be resolved by mutual consent: Ajmer pilgrimage chief

Ajmer Dargah chief said that the Kashi and Mathura dispute should be resolved outside the court.

Ajmer:

Ajmer Dargah chief Syed Zainul Abedin said political parties should try to find solutions to disputes like Mathura and Kashi outside the courts.

Any dispute resolved by mutual consent will win the hearts and trust of the communities, he said.

The Ajmer Dargah chief was addressing the “Paigam-e-Mohabbat Hum Sabka Bharat” conference organized by the Rajasthan unit of All India Sufi Sajjadanshin Parishad, in which heads of almost all the Dargahs of Rajasthan were present.

A statement issued here said that Mr Abedin said that India is playing a positive role in restoring peace in the world by following the civilization of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

He said, “India is playing its role in world peace, hence efforts should be made to resolve the internal issues of our country peacefully outside the courts… Just a strong initiative is needed.”

On the Citizenship Amendment Act, the Ajmer Dargah chief also said that in the last few years, Muslims have been misled regarding the CAA law.

“The reality is that after a detailed analysis of the provisions of the Act, we found that this law has nothing to do with Indian Muslims and this law will not have any impact on them.

“This will benefit persecuted minority immigrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh. No one is being stripped of their Indian citizenship.”

“No Indian’s citizenship can be taken away as there is no such provision in the law,” he was quoted as saying in the statement.
