The team, which includes 22 players and five coaches representing eight different states, was given a farewell in Faridabad on Monday. Harpreet Singh said: “The SOB women’s team will definitely win a medal, but the men’s team still needs to further improve their skills and the most important thing is to keep the goal, but we hope to do our best.” Bala Te Teo Sports Director said at the ceremony.

“I want to make India and my parents proud. They (the team) performed well and we have developed more skills from the first camp to the last camp. We will give our 100 per cent effort Come and get the gold medal,” she added.

The players underwent a training camp here as part of preparations for the tournament, which will also include Indonesia, Hong Kong and the Maldives.
