The US-based Indian CEO of a multinational software company died and the company chairman suffered serious injuries in an accident during the company’s silver jubilee celebrations at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The accident occurred when an iron cage carrying them collapsed during the function on Thursday night.

The accident occurred when company CEO Sanjay Shah and his colleagues entered an iron cage which was to be lowered from a height. However, things did not go as planned and the iron chain supporting the cage broke on one side, causing them both to fall to the ground.

He was soon taken to the hospital but Shah died during treatment. While the condition of his colleague still remains critical.

According to news agency PTI report, a case has been registered against Film City Event Management officials based on the complaint of another company official.
