HP Dy CM Agnihotri's wife dies of heart attack at 56, last rites performed in Una

Simi Agnihotri, wife of Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, passed away due to heart attack. She is 56 years old.

Her last rites were performed at a crematorium in Una district on Saturday afternoon.

Simi’s daughter Aastha lit the pyre in the presence of ministers, leaders of political parties and many people present.

She suffered cardiac arrest on Friday night and was rushed to Max Hospital, Chandigarh, but died on the way. Her body was brought back to the local Goindpur Jai Chand Nichala village from Chandigarh at 4 am.

Aastha also carried her mother’s coffin along with her father Mukesh Agnihotri and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu .

Bharatiya Janata Party National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Bharatiya Janata Party State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Opposition Leader Jairam Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Former chief minister Dhumal and many other leaders expressed grief over the death of Simi Agnihotri.
