A man who played the role of Lord Hanuman during a Ramleela play in Haryana’s Bhiwani on Monday, January 22, died while performing on stage. The man, identified as Harish Mehta, reportedly suffered a heart attack during the demonstration. The event was organized to celebrate the grand inauguration of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

In a recorded video, Mehta can be seen dancing as Lord Hanuman at a local event in Jawahar Chowk area of ​​Bhiwani, when he suddenly fell on the ground. However, no one came to his rescue as people mistook it for a part of the act. After a minute people realized that Mehta was not responding.

He was then soon taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.

Harish Mehta, playing the role of Lord Hanuman, had retired as a junior engineer in the electricity department and was playing the role of Hanuman for the last 25 years.

In a similar incident, a mobile hospital of the quick response team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) rescued a devotee who suffered a heart attack while attending the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ program at the newly constructed Ram temple on Monday.

After Ramakrishna Srivastava (65) collapsed inside the temple premises, a Bhishma Cube team led by Wing Commander Manish Gupta pulled him out within a minute of the incident and provided treatment on the spot, news agency PTI reported. Did, took advantage of this important golden hour.

The rapid response team provided initial treatment to them on site. Once the patient’s condition was stabilized, he was taken to the Civil Hospital for further monitoring and specialized care.
