Steve Carell joins the cast four seasons To star opposite Tina Fey in a Netflix comedy series.
Diversity The 61-year-old actor and comedian’s involvement was reported on Friday, April 26.
The comedy series is based on the 1981 film of the same name directed by and starring Alan Alda.
She was featured alongside Rita Moreno and Carol Burnett, with Len Cariou and Sandy Dennis also joining to complete the stellar line-up.
The upcoming series was first announced in January with an eight-episode order and is scheduled to begin production later this year.
Although character details have been kept under wraps, the film follows three married couples who go on vacation together every season.
However, the story takes a turn when a husband leaves his wife and takes another younger woman with him.
Additionally, this is not the first time that Carell and Fey will be seen together on screen. The pair previously played a married couple in the much-loved 2010 comedy feature date night.
The upcoming series will mark Carell’s second venture with Netflix. His first series with the streamer space forceIn which he played the lead role.
