Ellen DeGeneres breaks silence on controversial exit from her talk show

Ellen DeGeneres has broken her silence on her controversial exit from her daytime talk show two years ago.

“I was thrown out of show business,” Allen said during his new stand-up comedy set at the Coronet Theater in West Hollywood earlier this week. us weekly,

Ellen quipped, “There are no mean people in show business.”

She added, “The ‘Be Kind’ girl wasn’t kind. I became a one-dimensional character who gave stuff and danced.”

“Do you know how difficult it is to dance up the stairs? Would a lowly person dance up the stairs?” Added the former talk show host.

Earlier in 2020, Ellen made headlines when she was accused of creating a “toxic work environment during Season 19.”

Later, WarnerMedia launched an investigation into the allegations in July and Allen sent an apology letter to his employees.

In 2021, Ellen revealed that season 19 would be the last. His final episode aired in May 2022.

On April 24, Ellen however addressed the stain on her reputation and said that she was a boss “who didn’t know how to be a boss”.

“I didn’t go to business school. “I laughed at Charlie,” she said.

Ellen explained, “The show was called Ellen And everyone was wearing T-shirts that said ‘Ellen’ on them and the Warner Bros. building had ‘Ellen’ written on it, but I don’t know if that meant I should be in charge.”

Reflecting on her talk show period, she recalled, “I’m delivering stuff… and I danced, then I was mean and they didn’t like me again.”

He concluded, “It’s a huge blow to my ego and my self-esteem. There are such extremes in this business, people either love you and idolize you or they hate you, and those people somehow Speak loudly.”
