There was an interesting moment between Royal Challengers Bangalore star players Virat Kohli and Cameron Green during their IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday. Virat smashed an unbeaten 83 off 59 balls in his first innings to surpass SunRisers Hyderabad’s Heinrich Klaasen to become the IPL 2024’s leading run-scorer. Kohli, who ended up giving both his cap and the microphone to the Indian player.

The moment took an interesting turn when the commentator said he wanted to talk to Green instead of Kohli. The former RCB skipper then laughed and threw the microphone at Green and the Australian dismissed Kohli in an entertaining manner.

Kohli hit his second consecutive half-century for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League on Friday but Kolkata Knight Riders still cruised to a comfortable seven-wicket win.

Chasing the hosts at 182-6, Kolkata reached the target with 19 balls remaining when skipper Shreyas Iyer smashed a leisurely six off Mayank Dagar. Their chase began with Phil Salt (30) and all-rounder Sunil Narine (47) scoring 86 for the visitors, earning a win over Bengaluru captain Faf Dupu High praise from Faf du Plessis.

Narine hit five sixes in his 22-ball knock before Dagar dismissed him in the seventh over and Salt followed in the next over when He was caught at deep square leg.

Venkatesh Iyer scored 50 to keep the momentum going before being caught by Kohli, while Shreyas made 39.

Kohli gave a thumbs up to the jubilant home crowd as he scored 83 runs with 50 off 36 balls and his knock made him the highest run-scorer in the tournament since the season began last week.

But in the absence of a capable partner, the game in Bengaluru turned into a one-man show.
