Budget 2024: As the Union Budget takes center stage in this crucial election year for India, all eyes are keenly on the much-awaited Budget. Gen Z, the generation born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s, has a unique set of priorities and concerns that they bring to the Union Budget. While some of their aspirations match those of previous generations, others reflect their unique experiences and values.

Social discovery platform Hunch revealed in a survey that job opportunities hold great importance for Gen Z in the Union Budget 2024-25.

Hunch said that according to the survey results on its platform, 60.9% of the 3250 GenZs are keenly expecting a substantial increase in job opportunities, which emphasizes the current job market scenario.

22.6% of GenZ users of the Hunch app have expressed expectations of possible tax cuts, while 16.5% have stressed the critical importance of measures ensuring job security.

Hunch said this shows that today’s youth are especially conscious of getting tax incentives and ensuring protection against economic downturns and job losses.

These diverse expectations outline a spectrum of individual concerns, which collectively indicate a shared aspiration for economic stability.

The survey said tax cuts and assurance of stable employment opportunities are important components in realizing this broader objective.
