Meghan Markle has made a huge sacrifice for Prince Harry as she has reportedly decided not to ‘overshadow’ the Invictus Games event by visiting the UK.
For those unaware, the Duke of Sussex will be attending the Invictus Games event in London on May 8 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the multi-sport festival.
However, according to reports, the Duchess of Sussex is skipping the much-awaited trip to bring her spouse into the spotlight.
Now during the conversation, PR expert Lynn Carrette called Meghan’s decision ‘intelligent’ mirror.
“This event is one of Harry’s greatest achievements, having been involved in it even before he met Meghan,” the PR guru shared.
He explained, “If Meghan were to return to the UK, the Invictus Games service’s press coverage would likely be overshadowed by her presence, which neither Harry nor Meghan would want.”
Additionally, Lynn also pointed to Meghan’s negative image in the eyes of the royals, which may have caused her to abandon plans to move to London.
“Additionally, there is some animosity towards Meghan in the UK, and it is understandable that she would not want to subject herself to negative press or public reception,” the expert said.
