Kankar Munjare, the BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh, said on Saturday that he had left the home he shared with his Congress MP wife Anubha Munjare as two people with different ideologies were not allowed to stay during the polls Under the same roof.

Former MP and MP Kankar Munjare said he will return home after polling day on April 19.

“I left home on Friday and stayed in a hut near the dam. If two people with different ideologies live under one roof, people will consider it match-fixing,” he told news agency PTI .

His wife Anubha Munjare defeated BJP heavyweight Gaurishanker Bisen in the November 2023 assembly elections.

She said she was hurt by her husband’s stance and claimed a woman visited her matrimonial home until she died.

“When he was the Gondwana Gantantra Party candidate from Palaswada and I was the MP from Balaghat, we have been together. We have been married for 33 years, and our son Living happily together,” she said.

Anubha Munjare insists she is a loyal Congress party official and will do whatever it takes to ensure party candidate Samrat Saraswat wins the election in Pakistan Lok Sabha polls in Balaghat.

But the MLA stressed that she would not speak ill of her husband during the campaign.
