British couple died after being found on beach on Caribbean island Grenada

A retired couple from the UK have died after being found on a beach in Grenada.

The couple were spotted on Paradise Beach on Paradise Island CarriacouSaturday, March 9.

The 76-year-old husband was found lying on the beach and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

His 77-year-old wife was rushed to the island’s Princess Royal Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead by doctors.

Grenada Royal Hotel police Fox identified the couple as David John Foster and Rosalynn Foster.

Local media reported it was an apparent drowning.

It’s unclear what led to the couple’s deaths.

Local police are investigating and will conduct an autopsy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been contacted for comment.
