Eleven Indonesian fishermen were rescued after their boat capsized last week, while the search continues for 24 missing shipmates.
The ship left the capital Jakarta for Lombok on March 3 carrying a large amount of fish and equipment. It encountered stormy weather and huge waves on the way in the waters of South Sulawesi Province on Saturday.
The 11 fishermen wore life jackets and drifted for several days until they were discovered by local fishermen in the waters near the remote Celaya Islands in South Sulawesi Province.
The bodies of two other crew members were also found in the area.
Marine accidents in Indonesia, an archipelago of 17,000 islands and 270 million people, are common because of lax safety standards and poor enforcement.
