Normally, prisoners lodged in Tihar Jail are given dal, sabzi and five portions of rotis (rice) twice a day as part of the jail rules, along with a cup of tea in the morning and evening.

The prisoners are then locked in their cells until 3pm, after which they are given a cup of tea and two biscuits.

Dinner is served at 5:30 pm, after which the prisoners will be locked up for the night until 7 pm.

Mr Kejriwal is allowed to watch television except during scheduled prison activities such as meals and incarceration periods. Allows for broadcasting of 18 to 20 channels including news, entertainment and sports.
