Usher apologizes to fans after Lovers & Friends festival is canceled

Usher did his best to give fans – and himself – a little pick-me-up after the Lovers & Friends Festival was canceled due to inclement weather.

He even expressed his displeasure on social media and apologized to the fans who had come to watch their favorite artists perform.
“Mann… I am also disappointed like you. We were getting ready to come and celebrate today,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories.
He said, “I have to follow the orders of city officials and the National Weather Service for everyone’s safety and hold fast to my belief that everything happens for a reason.”
He concluded, “I’m sorry we won’t be able to meet each other today, but I know there’s always something I can do to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you.”
Despite the weather, Usher reportedly kept the party going until the morning in the pre-show.
