A Long Beach resident gets his stolen car back with the help of an Apple AirTag, nbc los angeles informed of.

When Philip Obando left his home, he discovered that his car was missing. He immediately reported the incident to the police and started tracking the car with the help of his Apple AirTag, which he had kept in the trunk of his car as a precaution.

They followed the car until the road was blocked, but turned back when they saw the car near a gas station in the afternoon.

The man and his wife immediately headed towards the spot, and upon reaching there they discovered that the thief was filling the car with gas.

When his wife blocked his way, he confronted the thief.

“I said, ‘It’s my car!’ The guy said, ‘No, it’s my car.’ I said, ‘Really?’ I had a spare fob; click it, the car beeped and then the guy said, ‘Oh, hey,’ and he took off,” the man said.

After examining the dashcam video, they saw the man driving around their neighborhood, changing license plates, and even taking the vehicle to a car wash.

The footage also shows the thief picking up another man, to whom he bragged about the theft.
