Alia Bhatt Praises Poachers Actor, Reveals She Was Pregnant When She Heard the Story: ‘It Was an Orgy’

Emmy Award-winning director Richie Mehta is back with another investigative thriller, Poachers, which will be streaming on Prime Video on February 23. Alia Bhatt, who is also the executive producer of the web series, was recently seen at the trailer launch event in Mumbai on Thursday, February 15. The National Award-winning actor attended the launch event along with her former costars Roshan Mathew and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, who star in the eight-episode series.

Alia Bhatt, while speaking at a press conference, mentioned why she decided to be a part of the project and what attracted her the most. Sharing her story, she said: “Richie and I met in 2022. I was pregnant with the birth. We talked about everything under the sun – parenting, movies, art, and in that meeting On, he took me through the world of poachers. First of all, I was amazed that it was all based on real events. He graciously shared the first two episodes, and then I watched the entire show.”

She went on to add: “Forget executive producers, I’m responding as a human being. When I first saw this show, I couldn’t stop watching it. It’s a binge, how! You can’t Take your eyes off the screen. Nimisha is brilliant, Roshan (who I had the pleasure of working with) is incredible, and so is Dibyendu. It’s not just the three of them, but the entire cast – they hold your attention. “

Alia also narrated her experience. Speaking about the series, she mentioned: “Rich told the story so beautifully. It brought me closer to him emotionally and physically, and I told him, ‘Tell me what I can do, what I can offer Help”. Earlier, Alia had also shared a teaser video of herself on her Instagram handle, in which she was seen in the jungles of Kerala. “This is a first for me because I’m not in the trailer.
