The highest score by a wicketkeeper in a successful run chase was Gilchrist’s 369 runs in 163 balls against Pakistan in Hobart in 1999 Hitting 149*. At number three is Pant, who hit 89* off 138 balls against Australia at the Gabba in 2021 in a run chase of 328 as India won 2-1 series victory and became the first team to defeat Australia at the venue in 32 years.

The Christchurch Test was a historic event for Carey as he tied with Gilchrist for the most dismissals in the Australian Tests, with a total of 10 dismissals. Gilchrist also caused 10 dismissals against New Zealand in Hamilton in 2000.
