New Delhi:

Air India today said its flights to and from Tel Aviv will continue to be suspended until April 30 due to tensions in the Middle East.

The airline operates four weekly flights between the national capital and Israeli cities.

“In view of the emerging situation in the Middle East, Air India flights to and from Tel Aviv will continue to be suspended until April 30, 2024. We are continuing to monitor the situation,” an Air India spokesperson said in a statement.

The airline is offering a one-time rescheduling and cancellation fee waiver to passengers with confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv during this period.

On Sunday, the airline decided to temporarily suspend flights to Tel Aviv.

Tensions have escalated in the Middle East as Iran attacks Israel and Israel retaliates.

The Tata Group-owned airline restarted services to the Israeli city on March 3 after nearly five months.

Air India has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv from October 7, 2023, following the Hamas attack on the Israeli city.
