Amba Prasad raided in connection with land and transfer fraud cases (File)

Jharkhand MP Amba Prasad was raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after she alleged that the BJP had given her a ticket to vote from Haza in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Tickets for Ribag campaign.
The MLA from Bakakaon constituency in Hazaribagh district said she ignored the BJP’s proposal.
“They (ED) came early in the morning and from there it was a whole day ordeal. They made me stand at one place for hours. The BJP offered me a Hazaribag Lok Sabha ticket but I Ignored. Then I was put under pressure,” Ms. Prasad said on Tuesday.
“A lot of people from the RSS are also pressuring me to contest from Chatra. I ignored that too. They consider me a very strong candidate from Hazaribag as we keep winning the Barkagaon seat. We are from the Congress party, And not from the BJP. So we are an easy target,” she said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Education Ministry raided premises linked to the National Assembly’s Justice Department, investigating cases involving alleged land and money transfer fraud. Ms Prasad’s home in Ranchi and a house linked to her in Hazaribagh were raided.
According to agency sources, the attacks began in the morning and continued late into the night.
The raid was in response to a money laundering complaint lodged against her in 2023 at the Ranchi district office of the central law enforcement agency.
