Now, a Times of India report quoting a top Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) official has given a different version of the events that unfolded.

“There was no terror threat. We had made a provision for both Rajasthan Royals and RCB to practice at the Gujarat College ground. RCB was to practice from 2 pm to 5 pm, but since the light was good, they changed it to 3-5 pm. Gujarat Cricket Association Secretary Anil Patel said, “In summers in Ahmedabad till 6.30 pm. However, Rajasthan Royals practiced with their entire team from 3.30 to 6.30 pm at the Gujarat College ground.”
