Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Smriti Mandhana was over the moon after winning the Women’s Premier League (WPL) title for the first time on Sunday. RCB beat Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets to win the WPL 2024 title, the first time an RCB team (men or women) won the trophy. After the victory, host and former India women’s cricket team captain Anjum Chopra told Mandana that she had finally won the trophy for RCB, but it was the left-hand batsman’s reaction that won hearts. Mandana was quick to reply that it was the entire team that won the most important trophy, not just herself.
