Coast Guard personnel established contact with the crew and arrived at the vessel via an inflatable motorboat. Rescue teams boarded the vessel and deployed machinery to pump water out of the submerged vessel. Large pipes are connected to water pumps for flood control operations. The Indian Coast Guard shared a video of the rescue operation on X.
The timely assistance of the Indian Coast Guard ensured the safe rescue of the crew members of the submerged vessel in the Arabian Sea. After the vessel was confirmed safe, it was handed over to a “partner vessel” IFB Gold Fish and towed to Gangoli Port, Karnataka’s main seaport.
The ship and crew entered the harbor and the operation was declared a success.
