India’s 15-man squad for T20 World Cup based on IPL 2024 performance cricket news

With the T20 World Cup 2024 around the corner and the national selectors working hard to announce the Indian cricket team, the importance of a tournament like IPL 2024 cannot be underestimated. The IPL has produced many impressive performances so far and NDTV has decided to select a 15-member squad based on their performances in the competition. The selection was completed considering only their roles and IPL 2024 performance, with no consideration given to reputation and past numbers. Openers: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, Rohit Sharma

Ruturaj has taken over the mantle of CSK captain with ease and with 349 runs in 8 matches, the right-handed batsman looks to be in top form. He has already scored a century in the tournament this year and his strike rate of 142.44 shows that he is capable of striking at the right time.

India captain Rohit Sharma has also shown good form and with 311 runs in 9 matches, his aggressive approach has turned out to be beneficial for his team. The third option is obviously Abhishek Sharma – the left-handed batsman who has set IPL 2024 on fire with his explosive batting.
