RCB captain Smriti Mandhana feels people should not undermine Virat Kohli’s achievements for Bengaluru after her side recently won the Women’s Super League title .
Mandhana’s RCB lifted the WPL trophy in just the second year, beating Delhi Capitals, who led the team for nearly a decade before the charismatic Kohli stepped down. team, but failed to achieve any success in their 16 years in the IPL.
“Champions are one thing but what he (Kohli) has achieved for India is phenomenal. So, I think the comparison is not right in terms of my career and what he has achieved,” Mann Dana told the media on Tuesday.
“The reason I don’t like that comparison is that what he has achieved is great; he is an inspirational person. Titles don’t define a lot of things; we all respect him and I feel that respect must be right for the Indian team vice-president The skipper said: “Virat is up there. So, I’m no different. “
Mandana and Kohli both wear jersey number 18 and the left-handed batsman said comparisons between the two on this basis were unwarranted.

Mandana feels that men’s cricketers have been playing well but they have failed to win the IPL title.
“I think, to be fair, the men’s team has also played good cricket over the last 16 years; it’s not that they haven’t played well. I don’t think the comparison is right. RCB is a franchise Right; let’s treat the men’s and women’s teams separately because we don’t want to make comparisons.
“They’re good at what they do. We’re good at what we do,” she added.
