George Clooney’s Thoughts Changed Viola Davis’ View of Hollywood

Viola Davis recently revealed that George Clooney’s kindness changed her perspective on Hollywood.

talking people In the magazine’s 50th anniversary special issue, Davis recalled Clooney offering his Lake Como villa to her while she and actor-producer Julius Tennon were on their honeymoon in 2003.

Davis shared that she and her husband were driven by Solaris Co-star Clooney’s “thoughtful” stay at Villa Como,

“This is the first time I remember saying to myself, it redefined the way I thought about Hollywood,” said help actor.

Davis mentioned, “I always thought, ‘Everybody’s fake. No one really means it when they’re nice to you.’”

However, Clooney “proved” her wrong.

“It was like the first time someone exposed this with his generosity. Julius and I still talk about this,” widow actor.

Davis continued, “Here’s the thing, I’m not going to lie — Julius and I are still trying to maneuver back there.”

“So now every time we see him we say, ‘George, do you remember that time we went to your villa? Can we come back?’” she quipped.

Recalling his experience at Villa Como, Davis noted: “The entire villa was surrounded by the Swiss Alps and water. So, it seemed like the best vacation you could imagine, but also very much like home.”

She remembers, “We were the only guests in the villa and could choose a room. I chose the biggest room.”

“We had a four- or five-course meal. I remember one time Julius looked at me and he had tears in his eyes and I had tears in my eyes and we just stared at each other for a long time. I remember Julius said, ‘Can you believe George’s heart?’” Davis added.
