Pune:
NCP (SP) leader and Baramati MP Supriya Sule and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s wife Suneet Sunetra Pawar, likely rivals in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, met and embraced at a temple in Baramat Tehsil on Friday.
Speculations are rife that the Ajit Pawar-led NCP may field Sunitra Pawar in Baramati Lok Sabha constituency against Sule, who is Ajit Pawar’s cousin , is also the daughter of party founder Sharad Pawar.
Two women face each other at the Kamleshwar temple in Jalochi village.
Sunetra Pawar said in a statement, “I happened to meet Supriya ‘tai’ (sister in Marathi) after praying at the temple. We celebrated Shivaratri and Women’s Day on the occasion of We exchanged greetings.”
