The West Indies ‘A’ cricket team arrived in Nepal on Wednesday ahead of the five-match T20 series against the hosts starting on April 27 in Kirtipur. However, the team was given a warm welcome upon arrival at the Kathmandu International Airport. The tempo was waiting outside the airport to carry the players’ luggage. In a viral video, West Indies players can be seen loading luggage into the tempo with the help of an assistant, who was stacking kit bags and suitcases one on top of the other.
The video left mixed reactions from fans on social media. Some criticized Nepal for the poor reception, while others thought there was nothing wrong with goods being loaded into tempos.
Here’s how the Internet reacted:

Meanwhile, Roston Chase will captain West Indies ‘A’ while Alec Athanaz will act as his deputy. For a historic first, the West Indies A team will be involved in a five-match T20I series against Nepal’s senior men’s team.
The tour is important as it serves as another step in the preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. This series is also a historic occasion as it is West Indies’ first tour of Nepal.
Chase will handle the responsibility of captaincy at this level for the first time. Commenting on Chase’s selection as captain, CWI chief selector Desmond Haynes emphasized Chase’s consistent display of hard work and leadership skills.
“Chase has demonstrated an impressive work ethic and proven leadership qualities over the years,” Chase told an official. There is no doubt that after making his T20I debut for the West Indies against Bangladesh in October 2021, Chase “We have continued to make great progress since.” CWI statement.
