The Russian Mission in New Delhi on Friday, along with foreign heads of state and ministers, congratulated India on its 75th Republic Day. In his congratulatory post on social media platform X, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov extended his warm wishes to the country.

Alipov referred to India’s Amrit Kaal vision, which outlines a 25-year vision of the country’s development and transformation. The term was first used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Independence Day celebrations in 2021. In a video shared on X, Russian children and adults perform a mix of Bollywood and Russian traditional dance.

‘Russian-Indian friendship’

“India, hearty congratulations on #RepublicDay! Best wishes to our Indian friends for prosperity, happiness and a bright #AmritKaal! #Long live India! Long live Russian-Indian friendship,” Ambassador Alipov wrote on X.

Top Indian officials have described New Delhi’s relations with Moscow as both important and stable. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had said earlier this month that bilateral relations with Russia have proved beneficial for India.

India is celebrating its 75th Republic Day today, honoring the adoption of the Constitution of India. New Delhi is all set to witness a grand parade on the famous Kartavya Path with the participation of Indian armed forces and paramilitary organisations.

Earlier today, French President Emmanuel Macron arrived on duty and attended the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest. Macron’s two-day visit began on Thursday in Jaipur where he was joined by PM Modi.
