Vibrant TV actress and movie star Barbara Rush dies at 97

Award-winning actress Barbara Rush died on Sunday, March 31 at the age of 97.

The late actress’ daughter Claudia Cowan confirmed the news in a statement fox news numbers.

“My wonderful mother passed away peacefully at 5:28 tonight. I was with her this morning and know she was waiting for me to transition home safely,” Cowan shared.

“It’s fitting that she chose to leave at Easter as it is one of her favorite holidays and of course now Easter will have a deeper meaning to me and my family.”

The cause of death is currently unknown; however, it can be speculated that she may have died of natural causes due to old age.

Barbara Rush’s career spans seven decades, starting in the 1950s. She has worked on the big screen with Paul Newman, Rock Hudson, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and others in films such as: Pirate Prince and Tazaand Son of Cochise Among other things.

She then moved to television, working in over 100 shows, leaving an indelible mark with her talent and skills, e.g. Dr Kildare, all my children, fugitive, Ben Caseyand Mannix.

The late actress was also known for playing Grandma Ruth Camden on the TV series, seventh heavenwhich lasted from 1996 to 2007.

Rush also won a Golden Globe Award for his performance in the 1953 American science fiction film Golden Globe. it comes from outer space.
