Usher and Jennifer Gocochea took their relationship to the next level as they officially tied the knot in Las Vegas. Before tying the knot, the R&B singer and his longtime girlfriend picked up their marriage license just days before the Super Bowl. People magazine confirmed the news, reporting that the couple exchanged vows at an open-air wedding chapel in a Vegas wedding. The exact date of the wedding is still uncertain, but it took place shortly after Usher performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. The marriage certificate reportedly lists the singer’s mother, Jonetta Patton, as a witness for the couple, and the ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Ronald Joseph Polrywka, also known as Ro En Deka) hosted.

A representative for the singer told the portal, “We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Gocochea took the next step in their relationship and spent time together on Sunday night surrounded by close friends and family Married in Las Vegas. They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for their well wishes.”

“Congratulations to the newlyweds,” church owner Melody Willis-Williams said, according to a statement obtained by ABC News. “We are so excited to host this epic ceremony for Usher and his new wife. Usher and Jennifer Gocochea’s recent wedding was the R&B singer’s third marriage, and Gocochea’s first. The singer was married to stylist Tameka Foster from 2007 to 2009. They have two sons: Usher V and Naviyd Ely. In 2015, he tied the knot with entertainment executive Grace Harry, but their marriage ended in 2018. Arthur and Jennifer are said to have been in a relationship since 2019 and are the proud parents of two children. Their eldest son, daughter Sovereign Bo, was born in 2020, followed by their son Sire Castrello in 2021.

In an earlier interview with People, Usher spoke about his relationship with Gocochea and how he feels honored to share it with someone who not only wants to be a part of his journey, but also loves and respects him his life. The 2024 Super Bowl performer emphasized their commitment as lifelong partners as they share responsibilities as parents. The decision to get married was not unusual for them.
