On Wednesday, the King of R&B revealed in his Instagram Stories how his 15-year-old son Navid stole his phone so he could hook up with English singer Pink Panther.
“So… a week or two ago my son, Navid, stole my phone so he could DM his favorite artist,” Usher revealed, beginning the story time, “I opened it up and I was like Oh, this guy DMed this girl of mine.” Damn phone…”
The 45-year-old musician then shared screenshots of his Instagram DMs with the Pink Panthers, where Navid confessed that he is a “superfan” and requested her to follow him too.
Charmed, the Pink Panthers invite the whole family to their next show.
Usher continued, “I had to act like she wasn’t allowed to go… but… because my son is such a fan of her artistry… I decided to let her go.”
He explained his decision, “It was a great moment for Navid… It was him moving on to something he was passionate about. Yes… he violated my trust in the process and for that I would never trust him with my phone, but I should have known better.
“Still, I appreciate his hard work and his creation [it] Happen. From a recital, to a concert, to the artist. He masterminded and executed this entire affair,” he concluded.
