American rapper Killer Mike, known offstage as Michael Render, shrugged off his arrest at the Grammy Awards, calling it a “speed bump” on his victory night.Los Angeles police reportedly detained him following a physical altercation at the event on Sunday British Broadcasting Corporation.
The 48-year-old artist dominates three major rap categories but is undeterred by the hiccups. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Killer Mike can be seen being escorted out of the Crypto.com Arena in handcuffs by a group of police officers after his win.
His detention resulted from a brawl within the arena. Police charged him with misdemeanor battery but later released him. Mr Mack is due to appear in court later this month.

In his acceptance speech, he said: “I am a black man in America, and as a child, I dreamed of being a part of music. That nine-year-old is now dancing with excitement inside me.”
“You can’t tell me you’re too old, you can’t tell me it’s too late, you can’t tell me dreams [don’t] come true! Sweep, sweep, sweep! ” he added.
