Muzaffarnagar (UP):
The roof of a house under construction collapsed in Uttar Pradesh state, killing two workers and injuring 17 others, police said on Monday.
The incident took place in Talda village on Sunday when workers were working at the site, they added.
While two workers were pronounced dead, 17 were taken to hospital, with one said to be in critical condition.

Superintendent of Police DK Thakur told reporters that the deceased were identified as Mohit (30) and Piyush (28).
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the government to ensure the best treatment for the injured.
Meanwhile, police arrested the building owner and contractor, accusing them of neglecting their duties and illegally trying to lift the linters with jacks.
Rural police superintendent Aditya Bansal told reporters that the police had filed charges under Sections 288 (negligent act in demolishing or repairing building) and 304 (punishment for manslaughter not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code. .
Police said 73 jacks had been seized at the scene.
