Uddan actress Kavita Chaudhary dies of cardiac arrest at 67

Actor Kavita Chaudhary, who was fondly remembered for her TV show “Udaan” and for playing Lalitaji in surfing commercials, passed away on Thursday night. The actress suffered a cardiac arrest in Amritsar and died at the age of 10, her nephew Ajay Sayal told a news portal.67 in total

Ajay Sayal conveyed the news of her death in an interview with The Indian Express, “She passed away due to cardiac arrest at 8.30 pm on Thursday. She was at Parma in Amritsar. He received treatment at Vaati Devi Hospital and breathed his last.”

Popular TV actor Anang Desai, her former classmate at the National School of Drama, expressed his sadness, “I came to know this morning that Kavita is no more. She died last night. This is very sad. She was our classmate in National School of Drama. We studied together in NSD for three years during training. Kavita, I, Satish Kaushik, Anupam (Kher), Govind Namdev were all in the same batch. A few years ago She had cancer and we met later, but she wanted to keep it secret so we never talked about it. She was from Amritsar and died there. About fifteen days ago, when she was in Mumbai, I I spoke to her and her condition was not good. Kavita’s nephew told me about her death this morning,” he told The Indian Express.

Kavita Chaudhary was born on January 1, 1954 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. She began her acting career in the early 1970s and soon became one of India’s most popular actresses. The actress has appeared in many films and TV shows including “Udaan”, “Hum Log” and “Lalitaji”. She is also known for her work in surf commercials. She is survived by her husband, two sons and two daughters.
