Traffic restrictions imposed in Delhi’s Yamunahadar ahead of religious event

Delhi Police has imposed traffic restrictions and specially arranged religious events for four days in Yamunahadar in northeast Delhi, officials said on Tuesday.

The ‘Ram Katha’ program of Dhirendra Shastri, popularly known as ‘Bageshwar Dham Sarkar’, will be organized at Kartar Nagar in Yamunahadar from Wednesday to Saturday, they said.

“Kalash Yatra will also be held on Wednesday from 12 noon to 3 pm. In view of Ram Katha, traffic will be restricted from Shastri Park red light to 2nd Pusta, 3rd Pusta, 5th Pusta, Khajuri Chowk and vice versa (including Yamuna Khadar 4th Pusta Kartar Nagar event venue in front),” pointed out.

Traffic signs have been placed at appropriate locations to guide motorists/commuters and adequate traffic personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth and uninterrupted traffic, the advisory said. Motorists are advised to take detours and follow traffic police instructions.
