Four religious festivals will be celebrated by the followers on this day. These include Tailang Swami Jayanti, Rohini Vrat, Pausha Putrada Ekadashi and Dharma Savarni Manvadi Vinayak Chaturthi. People are advised to check the lunar day, auspicious time and inauspicious time on this day to perform their tasks.

Ekadashi tithi will last till 7:26 pm on January 21, after which Dwadashi tithi will start. The auspicious Rohini Nakshatra will last till 3:52 am on January 22, after which it is considered to be Mrigashirsha Nakshatra. The Sun is expected to rise in Capricorn while the Moon is expected to be seen in Taurus.

The auspicious times for the day are as follows – Brahma Muhurta, which is considered auspicious for important activities, is scheduled from 5:27 am to 6:20 am. Dawn is expected to occur between 5:54 am and 7:14 am, while Godhuli Muhurta, another auspicious time, is expected between 5:48 pm and 6:15 pm. Nishita Muhurta is scheduled to start from 12:05 AM to 12:59 AM on January 22.

Inauspicious time on 21st January

The inauspicious time or auspicious muhurat for the day is outlined as follows – Rahu Kalam is scheduled from 4:31 pm to 5:51 pm. Whereas, Yamganda Muhurta is expected to be between 12:32 pm to 1:52 pm. Gulikai Kalam is scheduled to take place from 3:12 pm to 4:31 pm. Dur Muhurtam is estimated to start from 4:26 PM to 5:08 PM. Baan Muhurat suggests the presence of Chora by 11:54 pm on 21st January.
