Police have released the names of three men aged in their early 20s who died after a fatal crash near Brent Cross shopping center in north-west London.

Late Sunday night, the Mercedes driven by Mohamad Zeidani, 21, Mohammed Ghazzi, 21, and Sohail Zulfiqar, 20 Des CLK died after his convertible crashed through a car park fence and down an embankment before crashing into a footbridge at Staples Corner Retail Park in Barnet. the Metropolitan Police said.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the other two passengers involved were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One of them was in critical condition and the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries after the incident, which occurred around 11:30 p.m.

Officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Team are continuing to investigate what happened but have ruled out racing, high-speed laps or stunts.

Investigators are working to track down possible witnesses who were in the parking lot at the time.

Specially trained officers are providing support to the families of those involved.

Detective Inspector Paul Jackson, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the families of Mohammed, Mohamed and Sohail as they come to terms with the loss of their loved ones.

“We will continue to support them in any way we can.

“We are aware of comments circulating on social media and media speculation regarding the manner of driving prior to the collision.

“While we have many active avenues of investigation and remain open-minded, the evidence collected to date indicates that the vehicle involved was not engaged in racing or high-speed laps or stunts as reported.”

The event was attended by officers from the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade (LFB), London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance.

Police believe no other vehicles were involved.

According to the LFB, the vehicle collided with a pedestrian bridge and crashed near the Western Circle in Staples Point.

No one was arrested.
