Since life in the United States is quite expensive these days, many Americans are looking for ways to put more of their hard-earned dollars into their bank accounts. Between seemingly eternal inflation, high interest rates, and high medical costs.

Relocation packages offered by some small U.S. towns to attract new residents are reportedly an increasingly popular option CNN.

Also known as worker placement incentive programs, these cash carrots are offered across the country, but the general premise is the same.

Employees who are offered geographic flexibility, financial incentives, and other perks such as free gym memberships, coworking facilities, or even dinner with the mayor are often attracted to these benefits.

While some offer homebuyer incentives, some of the most lucrative offers reach five figures.

MakeMyMove.com, an online marketplace that connects remote workers with locations offering deals across the U.S., has more than doubled in recent years in the number of cities offering such incentives.

In 2023, as the pandemic brought sweeping changes to work culture, more than 50,000 people across the country applied for projects through the platform.

U.S. cities with these offers include Tulsa, Oklahoma; West Virginia; Indiana; Topeka, Kansas; Kentucky; Shoals, Alabama; Rochester, New York; Alaska and Michigan.
