“RCB fans are loyal. They are actually family, and I say that in a good and a bad way. The good way is that when you leave, no matter what happens, if I walk in, they will cheer my name, Makes me feel like I’m the greatest player on the planet. Young Shreyanka Patil and Alice Perry must have felt that way. I mean, to the outside world, they never give up on you .If you know there’s a fight between some teams and they say, ‘Oh, X is not a good player,’ they will pounce on that person,” Karthik told Ravichandran Ashwin on his YouTube channel.

“Personally, that fan would silently abuse me every day in DMs instead of having a one-on-one conversation. If I didn’t perform well at RCB, he would be hard on me; he would break me, not just It’s me, my family and whoever may come in my life. But to the outside world, they don’t give up on an RCB player.

“It’s very special for them and for a team that’s been playing for 16 years, what a fan base they have! Like I said, they have a fan base that’s unreal. I’ve played for a lot of Team. You all know a lot of them have fans, but RCB are incredible.”
