The Ministry of Defense has urged media channels, digital platforms and individuals to avoid reporting real -time of live coverage or defense operations and security forces.

The ministry emphasized that such sensitive information could be disclosed to operate operations and can put life at risk, citing previous incidents such as Kargil War, 26/11 attacks and Kandahar kidnapping.

According to Cable Television Network (Amendment) Rules, Claus 6 (1) (P) of 2021, only authorized officers can provide updates during anti -terrorism operations. The Ministry has called upon everyone to be responsible and conscious of national security.

The defense minister was accompanied by military top brass and senior officials, Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Staff Admiral Dinesh’s Tripathi chief, Air Staff Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh and Head of Defense Secretary RK Singh.

The meeting came after Operation Sindoor in view of Pakistan’s attempt to vengean, where the Indian armed forces on Wednesday targeted nine terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir. Operation was a direct reaction to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on 22 April.

According to defense officials, indigenously developed sky surface -to -air missile air defense system has played an important role in thwarting the Pakistani drone attacks targeting Indian property on Thursday. Officials said that both the Indian Army and the Air Force have deployed the missile system along the Pakistan border.

Defense officials said, “Made in India Akash Surface-to-Air Missile Air Defense System has been used by the Indian armed forces effectively in taking Pakistani attacks to Indian goals. Both Indian Army and Air Force have a missile system with Pakistan’s border.”

The Akash Air Defense Missile System is a medium-grain, surface-to-air missile system that provides field protection against mobile, semi-mobile and static weak forces and many aerial threats for regions. The system has state-of-the-art characteristics and cross-composition mobility.
