IMD senior scientist Dr Naresh Kumar said heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh today. The IMD said light rain is expected in Delhi in the next few days.

Replying to a question related to this summer, IMD scientist Naresh Kumar said it was too early to say anything but he expected temperatures to be above normal and expected in April and May. Heat wave weather occurs.

“As April approaches, we expect temperatures to be above normal. In April, we will experience heat waves in central parts of the country,” he said.

“May is the warmest month of the season and the country is likely to experience heat waves in northwest and central India,” he further said. “Work will be carried out in the central parts of the country in the next two to three months.” “

While forecasting the temperatures in the coming days, IMD officials said there is an active western disturbance that is likely to affect northwest India from today.

“Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal are likely to experience heavy rain today and neighboring aircraft will experience light to moderate rain and even thunderstorm activity and even hail activity,” he said.

The official said light rain is expected in Delhi-NCR.

Dr. Naresh Kumar also said that hot and humid weather is expected over the next four to five days in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, coastal Odisha and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
