Apple has clear mandates about who can participate in challenges. The company wants students to be at least 13 years old in the United States and 16 years old in the European Union. You must register with Apple as a developer for free. Participants must also be registered with an academic institution.

Apple 2024 Swift Student Challenge: How to Create an App

Apple expects App Playground submissions to be ZIP files. Make sure that the created application can be used without using a network connection, as the application will be judged as offline. File size cannot exceed 25MB. This work must be developed by individuals and may not involve groups. The app Playground should run on Swift Playgrounds 4.4 or later, which requires the latest iPadOS or macOS version. Apple allows you to use Apple Pencil, but the content can only be in English.

Apple 2024 Swift Student Challenge: Prizes Offered

So what does Apple offer the winner of the challenge? The company plans to select 50 outstanding winners in 2024, who will be invited to Cupertino. In addition, winners will receive a one-year membership to the Apple Developer Program, an app development voucher and a special gift.
