Srinagar:
A terrorist was killed in a clash with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district today, police said.
They said security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Fresi Pora village after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the village in south Kashmir’s Rajpora district.
They said the search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the troops after narrowing down the search area. The troops then retaliated.
In the ensuing encounter, one of the terrorists was killed, police said.
The identity and organization of the terrorists are being ascertained, police added.

Police said weapons, ammunition and incriminating material were found at the scene of the clashes.
