During election season, it’s no surprise that political parties and candidates compete for voters’ attention.
A Telangana man recently asked guests at his son’s wedding not to bring gifts to the newlyweds but to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha polls, a plea that has gone viral on social media received widespread attention.
Narshimru, a resident of Aruthra village in Kandi mandal in Sangareddy district, also had the Prime Minister’s photo printed on the wedding card.
“If you vote for Narendra Modi, this is the gift of this wedding,” read the message on the invitation card for Sai Kumar and Mahima Rani.
The wedding is scheduled for April 4th.
Narasimhalu said he has great respect and affection for the Prime Minister.
The Lok Sabha polls will be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with the counting date scheduled for June 4.
Polling for all 17 seats in Telangana will be held in a phased manner on May 13.
