A teenager has been charged with murdering a man who was shot dead near a nightclub in south-east London.

Tyler Roberts-Emmanuel, 18, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court today over the death of 30-year-old Shaquille Graham.

Mr Graham was shot in Catford Broadway at around 4.30am on March 10 and paramedics found him with a gunshot wound and died at the scene.

Roberts-Emmanuel, of no fixed address, was charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, Metropolitan Police explain.

The Met added that Mr Graham’s family were being supported by police liaison officers.

Luke Wilson, a friend of Mr Graham’s, told the Evening Standard: “I’ve lost my best friend. I’m devastated.

“It’s very depressing for future generations. If a guy like Shaq is killed, there’s no hope.

“There are people who live on the edge and are dangerously involved in gangs … and my friend is not one of them.”
