Tata Motors launched Punch Electric Vehicle (EV) In India on 17 January.

Compared to its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, the all-electric micro-SUV has several first-class features.

However, a senior Tata Motors official has confirmed that the petrol-powered Punch facelift won’t arrive until mid-2025, so those hoping to see the Punch EV refresh in the ICE model will have to wait a little longer. ,

“Starting with Punch EV, which is based on the pure EV architecture Acti.ev, we aim to differentiate ICE and EV; Therefore, you will continue to see a different look and feature set in EVs vs ICEs. So, when we come out with a facelift for the ICE, which is in mid-2025 or a little later, it will come with a different look with a different set of features compared to the Punch EV,” Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director (MD), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, CarandBike was quoted as saying.

What to expect from Tata Punch facelift?

Tata Motors may update the styling of the Punch SUV with new design cues to bring it in line with the company’s new models, as we have seen with the Nexon and Harrier facelifts. Additionally, changes to the front bumper and grille as well as minor changes to the headlamps and bonnet are also expected to refresh the small SUV.

Like the Nexon and Nexon EV facelift, the petrol-powered Punch will have styling elements that differentiate it from the recently launched Punch EV.
