Rishi Sunak demands answers from Israel after seven aid workers were killed in Gaza air strikes.

The Prime Minister has called on Israel to conduct a “thorough and transparent investigation” after members of the World Central Kitchen (WCK) team, including three Britons, were killed while coordinating the return of aid.

WCK is a charity that has been providing food to hungry Palestinians who are on the verge of famine as Israel launches an all-out war in the besieged territory.

The killings sparked international condemnation.

Sunak called Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday night to say “too many aid workers and ordinary civilians are losing their lives in Gaza” and the situation there was “increasingly intolerable”.

Foreign Secretary David Cameron called on Israel to “immediately investigate”, adding that the government wanted “a full and transparent explanation of what happened”.
