A search is underway for the woman and baby last seen in Glasgow city centre.

a policeman Scotland Inspectors said police were “very concerned about their welfare”.

The woman and baby, believed to be between four and six months old, were last seen leaving a supermarket on Jamaica Street at around 4.20pm on Wednesday and heading north to a bus stop.

The baby was last seen wearing a red snowsuit with a hood and a pink hat.

The woman is described as white Eastern European with blond hair and a green scrunchie.

She is believed to be wearing a black jacket and ankle-length colorful dress and carrying a yellow cross-shoulder bag.

Inspector David Hill said: “We are appealing for anyone who recognizes the woman and baby, or knows where they may be, to contact us urgently.

“We are very concerned about their welfare and want to ensure they are traced safely and successfully.”
