On February 14, National Award-winning Marathi director Sameer Vidwans tied the knot with his long-time love and assistant director Juilee Sonalkar. The actor-director announced the news to his fans after sharing wedding photos on his Instagram account.

The couple opted for an intimate Marathi wedding to stay away from the spotlight while celebrating their union. The director rose to fame in Bollywood with the film Satyaprem Ki Katha. His Bollywood directorial debut starred Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. The film was a box office hit.

In the viral post, actor-director Sameer is seen in a sherwani gown, while his wife Juilee Sonalkar is seen in a cream saree paired with a backless blouse. This photo appears to be from a wedding venue. In the background, a stage can be seen where the couple may have completed their wedding. As shown, the stage has the words “We Decide Forever” engraved on it. Sameer Vidwans, while announcing his marriage, captioned the photo, “Getting married.”

Although the wedding took place between close friends of the director, the comments section of the post saw participation from several Marathi and Bollywood actors. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani congratulated the couple on their wedding and wished them a happy married life. Sameer Vidwans thanked the actors for their wish.

Sameer Vidwans and Juilee Sonalkar have been working together for many years. She worked as an assistant director in a film directed by Sameer. Their creative journey began when they first collaborated on the critically acclaimed film Mala Kahich Problem Nahi in 2017. She was also a key member of the team of the 2019 National Award-winning film Anandi Gopal. Sammer Vidwans made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Time Please. He hit the headlines as a director after his film Anandi Gopal won the National Award. The film stars Bhagyashree Milind and Lalit Prabhakar.
